Drag inside the frame to reposition it, or drag outside it to choose a new crop. Use the arrow keys while the preview is focused to move the frame.
For best results, start with a clear, front-facing photo and a plain, evenly lit background. This tool crops and sizes the image; it does not remove backgrounds or verify facial positioning.
How to make a passport-size photo
- Choose a clear photo from your device.
- Select a common print size or enter custom dimensions, then choose the output resolution.
- Move the crop frame so your head and shoulders are positioned as you need them.
- Create a single photo or a 4 × 6 in sheet, review it, and download.
Example: For a 35 × 45 mm print, keep that preset at 300 DPI and download a 4 × 6 in sheet. It arranges repeated copies with light cut guides.
Photo rules differ by country and application, including background, head size, expression, and print dimensions. The presets are common sizes only; check the receiving authority’s current instructions before submitting. This tool does not certify a photo for any passport or visa application. The file is sized in pixels for your selected DPI; some printer apps may require you to choose 4 × 6 in paper and print at actual size. Large images can take longer to process on some devices.
