Resize or crop an image
Your image is processed in this browser and is not uploaded to a server.
Drag inside the crop to move it. Drag outside the selection to draw a new crop. You can also focus the preview and use the arrow keys to move the crop (hold Shift to move farther). The crop keeps the output aspect ratio.
Large images or output sizes may take longer, depending on your device and browser.
How to resize or crop an image
- Choose an image from your device.
- Select Resize full image to keep the whole picture, or Crop and resize to choose a frame in the preview.
- Set the output width and height, choose a format, and select Create image.
- Review the preview and download the result.
Example: For a square profile picture, choose Crop and resize, set the width and height to 800 pixels, then drag the crop frame over the part of the image you want to keep.
PNG preserves transparency. JPEG does not, so transparent areas are filled with white. Resizing to a different aspect ratio with the ratio lock off can stretch the image. This tool processes a still image in your browser; it does not upload the file.
